TaleHive collects the following information to provide our services:

• Account Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier and optionally your name. We do not receive your email address unless you choose to share it.
• Photos: Photos you upload are used solely to generate personalized storybooks. They are processed by AI services to create captions and illustrations.
• Child Information: If you provide your child's name, age, and gender, this information is used only to personalize story content.
• Voice Recordings: If you use voice features, audio recordings are processed to generate text-to-speech audio. Voice samples for cloning are stored securely.
• Usage Data: We collect basic usage analytics to improve app performance, including crash reports and feature usage patterns.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Generate personalized storybooks with AI-created stories and illustrations
• Process in-app purchases and manage your credit balance
• Provide text-to-speech audio narration
• Improve our services and fix bugs

We do NOT:

• Sell your personal information to third parties
• Use your photos for any purpose other than storybook creation
• Share your child's information with advertisers

3. Third-Party Services

TaleHive uses the following third-party services to process your data:

• AI Services: For photo analysis, story text generation, and illustration creation
• Cloudflare R2: For secure file storage

These services process data according to their respective privacy policies. We transmit only the minimum data necessary for each operation.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Railway (cloud infrastructure)
• Files (images, audio) are stored on Cloudflare R2 with encryption at rest
• We use HTTPS for all data transmission
• Authentication is handled through Apple Sign-In with JWT tokens

5. Children's Privacy

TaleHive is designed to create content for children but is intended to be operated by parents or guardians. We comply with applicable children's privacy laws:

• We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13
• All account creation and data input is performed by the parent/guardian
• Photos of children are used solely for storybook personalization and are not shared

6. Data Retention and Deletion

• You can delete locally cached data at any time from Settings > Delete All Local Data
• To request deletion of your server-side data, contact us at the email below
• Upon account deletion, all associated data (projects, images, stories) will be permanently removed within 30 days

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data in a portable format

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use of TaleHive after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
